Melinda Drury - Trainer & Professional Rider
Melinda began riding at the age of eight in Alpharetta, Georgia. Melinda continued riding in the Alpharetta area and finished her junior years under Sunny Stevens and Stevehaven Stables.

Melinda had much success in the Large Junior Hunters, USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay, and Junior/Amateur Jumpers.  She graduated high school in 2005 and went on to ride for the University of Georgia's Equestrian Team on full scholarship. While on the team, they won four SEC Championships and brought home three National Championship wins.

In February of 2010, Melinda went to work for Stonegate Farm as the Assistant Trainer. As the assistant trainer, Melinda taught lessons from beginners through experienced riders, attended local and "A" rated horse shows (training and coaching Hunters, Equitation riders, and Jumpers). Melinda is currently the coach for two different IEA teams; MDS Farm's team and Northview High School's team.

In July of 2011, Melinda branched out on her own to Staples Farm and Equestrian Center. She created MDS Farm, and started her own program teaching lessons, training horses, and finding the right horse for her clients.  She is currently teaching lessons, training horses, continuing with horse showing and preparing for the 2011/2012 IEA season.
